My first novel entitled "The Accessory" was tough to write. Starting off as a novella (at about 17,000 words), I was told by publishers that unless your name is Stephen King,
they just don't sell. So, I fluffed it up to 75,000 words, and guess what. It still didn't sell! It's very tough to break into the fiction market. But I couldn't stop
writing. Hence my second (and shorter) novel is about to be launched, so it's time I announce it.
Titled "The Witness", it uses a character from my first novel, Peter
Underbridge. If you've heard of writer's block, I had it in spades. With about two thirds of it done, it sat on my hard drive for ages... I just couldn't find the creativity to wind it up. Then, after about 18 months, a brainstorm of plot ideas flooded my cranium, and I finished it in about two weeks. I've decided to keep it simple, and only publish it in eBook format, a la Amazon Kindle. The plot is perhaps a little more focused than my first novel, with less characters, and more tension. It's a page-turner!
Give them a whirl and let me know what you think.
